Overview

Comprehensive courses and tours to give you an insider's knowledge of Mexican culture through its cuisine, and an experience of Mexico most visitors never see.

Susana Trilling, teacher, chef, writer and television host will teach you to work with the native foods of Mexico. The classes, culinary tours and lectures focus on pre-Hispanic foods, traditional culinary, medicinal and spiritual herb usage, as well as Spanish influences on the contemporary Oaxacan kitchen.

Cooking School
Seasons of my Heart offers a host of opportunities for everyone interested in food: Day and long weekend classes, theme courses, local market tours, and artesan culinary experiences.

Culinary Tours
A series of culinary tours are offered around the state of Oaxaca, visiting some of Seasons' friends and locations from the television series: Seasons of My Heart; A Culinary Journey through Oaxaca, Mexico. Seasons of My Heart also offers an exciting and mouth-watering tour in Veracruz to celebrate the Spring Equinox and the yearly vanilla harvest, as well as an exotic tour to the states of the Yucatan Peninsula and savor the exciting days of Carnival.

The newest tour in the summer of 2007 will feature cacao and wild mushrooms in the other two Mayan states of Mexico, Tabasco and Chiapas. Guests will explore the Mayan culture, cuisine, ruins, jungles and waterfalls of this area and savor the exciting days of Carnival.

Seasons of My Heart Cooking School is very excited about these tours and hope you will be part of them.

Bed & Breakfast
Seasons of My Heart Cooking School's new Bed & Breakfast is an artistic three-room adobe house situated on the hill above the cooking school, constructed in the typical Mexican style with large patio that has a spectacular view of the valley. The house is very comfortable, with all the modern conveniences, including a full kitchen and large bathroom with sunken tub.

    Reservation Policy

    To secure your place in a class or course, a deposit is required. This information will be sent to you when you make your reservation.

    Cancellation Policy

    25% of the total price (including single supplement) will be charged if a participant cancels 60 days to 30 days prior to the course. When the cancellation occurs between the 29th day to the first day of the course, no refund will be given unless the space is sold to another participant. If the space is filled, a refund less the non-refundable deposit will be given. A written notification must be received prior to refund.
