The New England Culinary Institute
Founded in 1980, the institute provides culinary training patterned after the medical-school model of real-life intensive learning. The institute's educational model - unique in the culinary world - features small classes and real-life experience in The Inn at Essex’s three restaurants and banquet facilities. These facilities serve as working classrooms for future restaurant professionals. Working under the watchful eye of renowned chefs and managers, who never supervise more than seven students at a time, students perfect basic and complex techniques through hands-on practice.
