Stephen Gibbs, Partner and Executive Chef
Hands On Gourmet was founded by three partners who share a passion for bringing people together around good food. Chef Stephen brings 15 years of culinary experience and a unique excitement to the team. His innovative menus introduce seasonal, fresh ingredients and gourmet cooking to all Hands On Gourmet’s guests. Molly, the President and a co-founder, excels in creative planning and excellent service that ensures each of the culinary gatherings is memorable and seamless.
Chef Stephen’s career has included work at such acclaimed restaurants as Wolfgang Puck's Postrio, Roland Passot's La Folie, and Jeremiah Tower's Stars. Educated at the California Culinary Academy, he also served as chef at the San Francisco Opera House. In 2000, he created the dining concept and menus for Virgin Atlantic Airline's Upper Class Lounges nationwide.
In 2005, Chef Stephen won an “On the Verge” award from 7x7 Magazine, which honors innovative leaders in creative fields. His recipes have been featured in CHOW, Relax, and other magazines, and he has been a guest on several talk shows, most recently the Lisa Birnbach radio show.
